  • Here’s Why Women are Giving Up on Wearing Underwear

    Wearing panties or knickers or whatever you’d like to call them can sometimes be uncomfortable. Usually, women find a brand or material that works for them and stick to it, but not only can underwear be uncomfortable sometimes, a new report suggests it can also affect your health..you know down there.

    According to gynecologist Nicholas Raine-Fenning from fertility clinic Nurture in Nottingham who spoke to Mail Online, wearing the wrong undies can actually cause some major problems.

    “It would be better to wear no knickers than the wrong kind of knickers – Nylon knickers ought to come with a health warning. They’re only acceptable for a short period of time, being a high risk factor for irritation.”

    He also said wearing them to bed is even riskier. It’s better to wear loose, cotton garments and if you must wear nylon underwear, make sure it has a cotton gusset.


    Apparently it’s not just your undies which can cause infections but also tight control pants.

    According to Dr. Raine-Fenning, these pants can put pressure on your abdomen. “Think of the abdomen as a balloon. If you compress it, the increase in pressure has to go somewhere. It is either directed to the pelvis (which could increase the risk of prolapse in susceptible women) or to the diaphragm, virtually creating the effect of a hiatus hernia – though it would be unlikely to actually cause one unless you were already at risk. But it means your stomach and oesophagus are pushed back into your chest, possibly leading to reflux.”

    It is proven that, men who drink heavily (addicts) are less healthy than others. This habit has negative impact to the sperm quality, as well. For avoidance of any doubt, we’re talking about constant and excessive alcohol consumption.

    • Car with Heated Seats

    Same like the Sauna or hot Jacuzzi it is nice to spend some time in it. However, there is possibility to reduce the sperm quality because of the added luxury that your car posses. The same goes for heated pads, which all turn the heat on the testicles and can cause overall damage of the sperm potency.

    • Fresh Produce

    Did you ever considered that pesticides which are strong enough to kill most pests, they can do harm and lower your sperm count. Before you eat the produce bu sure to fully wash and soak the produce. You can always buy organic produce for your concern.

    የአልኮል መጠጦች ለጉበት ስብ በሽታ መነሻ የሚሆኑባቸውን መንገዶች ሃኪሙ ሲያብራሩ “የአልኮል መጠጦችን በምንጠጣበት ጊዜ በአልኮሉ ውስጥ የሚገኙና ለሰውነታችን ጠቃሚ የሆኑ ነገሮች ጥቅም ላይ ከዋሉ በኋላ ቅሪቱ ንጥረ ነገር በጉበታችን ውስጥ ያልፋል፡፡ በዚህ ጊዜም የጉበታችን ሴሎች ጉዳት ይደርስባቸዋል፡፡ ይህ ደግሞ ጉበታችን በአግባቡ ሥራውን እንዳያከናውን ያደርገዋል፡፡ ጉበታችን ስራውን በአግባቡ ማከናወን ሲሳነው ወደ ሰውነታችን የገቡትና በጉበታችን አማካኝነት መጣራት የሚገባቸው ንጥረ ነገሮች በሰውነታችን ውስጥ ዝም ብለው ይከማቻሉ፡፡ በዚህ ጊዜም ጉበታችን ከመጠን በላይ በሆኑ ስቦች እንዲጨናነቅ ያደርጋል፡፡ ይህ ሁኔታ ደግሞ የጉበታችንን ሴሎች ወደ ቃጫነት በመቀየር ጉበታችን ፋትን ማመንጨትና መጠቀም እንዳይችል እንዲሁም ውሃ መያዝም እንዲያቅተው ያደርገዋል፡፡ ጉበት ሲታመም ፈሳሽ የመቋጠር አቅሙን ያጣል፡፡ ይህም ፈሳሽ በሆዳችን ውስጥ እንዲጠራቀም በማድረግ ሆዳችንን ያሳብጠዋል፡፡ መጣራት ሲኖርባቸው ሳይጣሩ ቀርተው በሰውነታችን ውስጥ የተጠራቀሙት መርዛማ ንጥረ ነገሮችም በደም አማካኝነት ወደ ጭንቅላታችን ውስጥ ገብተው ሩሃችን ያስቱናል፡፡ በተጨማሪም ፕሮቲን ጉሉኮስ፣ ፋትና በሽታን የሚከላከሉ ንጥረ ነገሮች በሰውነታችን ውስጥ መመረታቸው፣ መከማቸታቸውና በጥቅም ላይ መዋላቸው ያቆማል ብለዋል፡፡
    ከአልኮል ውጭ የጉበት ስብ በሽታን ከሚያስከትሉ ነገሮች መካከል የሚጠቀሰው ለተለያዩ ህመሞች የምንወስዳቸው የተለያዩ ይዘቶች ያሏቸው መድሃኒቶች ናቸው፡፡ በተለይ ቴትራሳይክሊን፣ የደም ብዛት መድሃኒቶች፣ ለካንሰር ህሙማን የሚታዘዙ መድሃኒቶችና ሆርሞኖች በዋናነት እንደሚጠቀሱም ዶክተር አብርሃም ገልፀዋል፡፡ አብዛኛውን ጊዜ ከአቅም በላይ ካልሆነ በስተቀር መድሃኒቶች ተደራርበው እንዳይወሰዱ ለማድረግ የሚመከረው በመድሃኒቶች ሳቢያ የሚከሰቱ የጐንዮሽ ጉዳቶችን ለመቀነስ በማሰብ እንደሆነም ጠቁመዋል፡፡

  • 4 Signs You Should Stop Coloring Your Hair

     

    Few women welcome gray hair with open arms. When the salt outnumbers the pepper, most of us—as many as 75 percent of women, according to various sources—turn to the beauty industry for an all-over color correction. But once you start dyeing your hair to cover the grays, how do you know when enough is enough?

    When 56-year-old former brunette, Paula Winnig, was 35 years old, a number of well-meaning friends handed her their colorists’ business cards, a not-so-subtle nod to her rapidly graying hair. She took the hint and began dyeing her locks, a practice she continued until quitting for good at age 50. “I hated having to schedule my life around my roots showing,” says Winnig. “I also hated the expense, and I didn’t like looking in the mirror and seeing a stranger looking back at me.” With her hair dyeing years firmly behind her, Winnig couldn’t be happier. “I am thrilled to have my own color again—it is very freeing,” she says. “Coloring my hair was a necessary evil, but I’m glad I don’t do it anymore.”

    Paula made her decision from the gut—she knew she resented the entire hair-dyeing shebang. But if you’re on the fence, consider these tell-tale signs you should go gracefully gray:

    #1: Your hair feels dry and brittle

    Traditional hair dye that deposits color typically won’t damage your ‘do, says Melissa Piliang, M.D., a dermatologist at the Cleveland Clinic and a member of the American Academy of Dermatology. But if you engage in the more involved ritual of processing your hair to lighten it in preparation for a light-colored dye, damage is almost certainly in your hair destiny. “The hair fiber has a coating called the cuticle,” says Dr. Piliang. “When your hair is healthy, the cuticle looks like the shingles on a roof, all laying down. When it’s damaged, the shingles can flake off or peel back. Bleaching wears away cuticle.” The result? Hair that can be described as ‘straw-like,’ dry and brittle, or frizzy. Split ends, flyaways, and hair of varying lengths are other sure signs of damage and breakage, she says.

    #2: Your grays return within two weeks.

    If you can’t seem to keep up with the advance of your gray hair (either at the roots or all over), it may be worth it to leave your coloring days behind you, says Sarah Nitz, contributor for Latest-Hairstyles.com. “If you have an appointment at the salon every two weeks, but you could go every week, it might just be time to let it grow in,” she says. “You want to enjoy every minute of your pending (or current!) retirement, traveling, visiting with friends, not visiting the salon.”

    #3: You notice your scalp is newly itchy and irritated.

    Whether you’ve been coloring your hair for days or years, unexplained itchiness, soreness, or oozing of the scalp may indicate you’re allergic to the hair dye, itself. “A fair number of people are allergic to an ingredient in hair dye called p-Phenylenediamine (PPDA), which is what gives the dye its permanent color,” says Dr. Piliang. “The symptoms can be pretty mild in the beginning so people don’t always recognize it.” While all hues of permanent dye contain PPDA, semi-permanent dye and wash-out colors often don’t, though they do require more frequent application, she advises.

    #4: You’ve dyed your hair progressively lighter.

    If your once lustrous mane has gone from it’s original honey gold to highlighted ash blonde to full-on platinum over your years in the styling chair, it may be time to give up the ghost. “When you’ve gone lighter and lighter to camouflage your silver roots, so that you’re almost white, that’s a sign,” says Nitz. “If you’re going so light with your hair color that it only slightly differs from what’s growing in, it makes sense to stop coloring.”

    How to Repair Damaged Hair

    There’s no way around it: If you’ve been processing your hair and it shows signs of damage, it’s time to stop the harsh treatments and take a few steps to repair it. “It’s time to put down the dryer, put down the iron—stop the things that are damaging your hair,” says Dr. Piliang. “Your hair is biologically dead but underneath, new, healthy hair is growing.” Next, give that new hair a chance to thrive by getting a haircut to remove the damaged ends. Then get regular trim-ups once a month, which should keep your hair at a constant length as it grows out. “It removes the split ends and keeps them from splitting farther up the shaft,” she says. “Each cut trims off the thinnest portion, and your hair looks thicker.” Finally, practice healthy hair habits, she advises: Use a heavy conditioner that contains natural oils (coconut, moroccan, or argan), a heat protectant product, and specially formulated hair-strengthening products. Tip: “With all those products, you don’t need it up by your scalp; you can start at ear level,” she says.

  • 6 Types of Headaches: How to Recognize Which Ones are Dangerous

    1.     TMJ Headache

    TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint) headache is caused by clenching the jaws or grinding the teeth (usually during sleep), or by abnormalities in the jaw joints themselves.

    The diagnosis is easy if chewing produces pain or if jaw motion is restricted or noisy.

    TMJ pain can occur in the ear, cheek, temples, neck, or shoulders.

    2. Sinus Headache

    Many primary headaches, including migraine, are misdiagnosed as sinus headache. Sinus headaches can occur in the front of the face, usually around the eyes, across the cheeks, or over the forehead.

    They are usually mild in the morning and increase during the day and are usually accompanied by fever, runny nose, congestion, and general debilitation.

    Sinus headaches spread over a larger area of the head than migraines, but it is often difficult to tell them apart, particularly if headache is the only symptom of sinusitis; they even coexist in many cases. Often, the visual changes associated with migraine can rule out sinusitis, but such visual changes do not occur with all migraines.

    3. Cluster Headache

    Cluster headaches are among the most painful of all headaches. The signature is a pattern of periodic cycles of headache attacks, which may be episodic or chronic. (It should be noted that a significant percentage of people who experience a first cluster attack do not have another one.) Between 80% and 90% of these headache patients have episodic cluster headache cycles. Such patients experience cycles of daily or near daily attacks that may last from one week to one year. During an active cycle, sufferers can experience one or more bouts a day, or as few as one every other day.

    The attacks themselves are usually brief but extremely painful. Such cycles are followed by headache-free periods lasting at least fourteen days. About 10% of cluster headache patients have a chronic form, which lasts more than a year and remissions that last less than 14 days. About 10% of patients experience so-called premonitory symptoms from one day to 8 weeks before a cluster headache attack. They can include fatigue, neck ache, stiffness, odd sensations in the limbs, an extreme sensitivity in the area where the headache will develop. When the actual attack occurs, symptoms typically increase rapidly (within about 15 minutes) to intense levels.

    People often awaken with them a few hours after they go to bed. The attack typically causes very severe, stabbing or boring pain centered in one eye. Pain may also occur above the eye, near the temples, or on one side of the head. Migraine-like symptoms (sensitivity to light and sound, auras and rarely, nausea and vomiting) may occur. Women have a higher risk for nausea and vomiting than men do. Capsaicin-based nasal sprays have been found to be very effective for cluster headaches.
